9 week drumming course starting on 25th September 2023 at The Shadwell Centre 455 The Highway London E1W 3HP.  Mon evenings. Times 6 - 7pm. £40 for 10 lessons (£12 CONC). All equipment provided.

Hand Drumming and Percussion Skills (Course code A3996) Introduction to basic musical concepts and playing techniques of African Hand Drumming and  Percussion.

My Background... Touring, Recording and Session Work....

POP/JAZZ/R'N'B/DANCE/HOUSE/AFRICAN/LATIN

Since the early 1990s I have played/toured/recorded with Courtney Pine, Ronnie Laws, Jean Toussaint, Brian Auger, Mother Earth and Corduroy and many other groups and popular artistes.  Have toured Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, West Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Columbia, Australia, Israel, Turkey, Greece, Russia, Canada and many other countries.  Presently completing a 2022/23 tour to the USA, Canada, Brazil and Europe with the legendary band Cymande.

My wide and diverse experiences with jazz, pop and world music elements has created a unique and personal style and approach to my percussion work.

I have a wide range of teaching experiences and work regularly with schools, colleges, special needs groups, adult education centres, psychiatric hospitals, prisons as well as team building workshops within the corporate business world.  I have an academic background in psychology and the social sciences, professional teaching qualifications, and registration with the Child Protection Register (CPR).  I am also employed as a professional alterative therapist (Website donaldgamble.co.uk).

I reside in London and continue to gig, record and teach regularly in the UK and internationally.
